In less than 30 seconds a small flame can turn into a major fire. It only takes minutes for thick black smoke to fill a house or for it to be engulfed in flames.
Respiratory virus season is upon us. CDHD’s Community Medical Needs vending machine is stocked daily with Covid-19, Influenza A and B test kits, plus so much more!
November is Diabetes Awareness Month!
People who have diabetes are at higher risk of serious health complications including blindness, kidney failure, heart disease, stroke, and lower extremity amputations in adults.
We are doing a Formula Drive to help local babies in need. Learn where you can drop off your donations, what formula you can donate, or if you are a family in need- where and what times you can pick up your formula!
Respiratory virus season is right around the corner. Protect the ones you love this holiday season by getting an updated RSV, COVID-19 and Influenza vaccine!
Your WIC benefits are still available, and WIC offices remain open. Please continue using your benefits, going to your appointments, and accessing services as usual.
Washington State WIC is actively monitoring the federal shutdown and the potential impact on WIC benefits. Your health and well-being are our top priority, and we will keep you updated as we learn more.
My name is Emily Gilmore (she/her) and I am so excited to introduce myself as the new Nurse Home Visitor with NFP. I have been with CDHD for 10 months as the Maternal Child Health Lead and am thrilled to continue serving our community in this new role.
Before joining CDHD, I was a labor and delivery nurse at Confluence Health for 2.5 years. My passion has always been centered around maternal and child health and supporting families as they transition into parenthood. I love building relationships with families and empowering them with knowledge and compassionate care.
Outside of work, I love hanging out with my dog, Simon, baking, reading, and hiking in our beautiful valley. I'm truly looking forward to serving our clients and connecting with our community partners in this new role.
